The tucano are the birds of the Ramphastidae family that live in the forests of Central and South America. They have a large hollow beak. The upper part consists of support trabeculae and the lower part is bone. It is not a strong beak, since it is very long and the lever (jaw) is not enough to confer such quality. Its digestive system is extremely short, which explains its food base, since the fruits are easily digested and absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract.
