The Intel CEO must have gotten the call as well from "the club" that told him to quit the Trump Council "or else". I think these move are spineless and only indicative of the move to remove a President who wishes to help America.
Do you think a CEO of a Major corporation "quits" at the sign of a problems or issues? Is that how that got to be a leader of Fortune 500 company? Does Intel or Merck CEO quits when another company announces a killer product or takes market share from them. Or ....do these CEO's get a phone call that "counts".
This is all PR and theatre for us to consume...and it's pretty transparent.
Hopefully, Eli Lilly doesn't come out with a new drug ....the Merck CEO might quit
Personally I was glad to see the CEO of Merck leave and I liked Trumps twitter post on it as well.
Now maybe pharma costs will get regulated and incorporated when the next version of the ACA appeal gets put forward hopefully next month.
I don't care if you are Dem or Rep, as we know the ACA needs to be repealed/replaced or FIXED (either will end up about the same) and we the people pay a large part health care to pharma companies!
ACA has been mostly about "insurance reform" and not so much about health or price reform and this just be enough to push Trump/GOP to push for this as well which will only benefit us all. Pharma companies have had a monopoly on pricing far long enough.
