There is a notion that, in their comfort, people often ignore facts, no matter how well-grounded they may be. They continue to dwell in their delusions to avoid critical thinking or self-reflection. It's a constant struggle to even begin to comprehend this behavior. I'm uncertain how to quantify the level of blatant ignorance that seems prevalent.
I'm not referring to any specific individual here; rather, I'm discussing an amalgamation of characteristics that I've observed, which reflect these attributes in one's moral and intellectual capacity. I don't intend to sound condescending toward anyone in particular—this is merely my observation.
If there is any doubt about who lives a better quality of life, it's those who remain unaware. They live carefree, unaware of what lies beyond the walls of their current existence. They seem to find complacency acceptable because they believe that what they cannot do for themselves (in America) is the government's responsibility to handle. These individuals are, without a doubt, among the happiest in all of humanity. Even though the following graphic of "The Dunning-Kruger" Effect isn't about happiness it can correlate with the same view.
On the other end of the spectrum are the conspiracy theorists—the good old Alex Jones followers. I'm not interested in hearing "The frogs are gay..." It's all played out. You can't present a conspiracy theory to me without me responding, "I need theories on how to pay my rent." The current state of affairs has me vexed, and that's putting it mildly. It's not that I don't believe money rules the world or that there are forces out to control us, but I have a family to feed. So please don't judge me if I don't take up arms and do something drastic in the name of righteousness. I will never tuck my head and hide, but I have to be smarter than the average bear, Boo Boo.
So it seems there are of us left who know we don't know things, and at times it can be a bit hectic. Dealing with both sides of this spectrum of blindly happy, and anxiously knowledgable, is the burden of us normies. As I vent my strange thoughts I wish the best for you and other normies out there. I also appreciate you reading my ramblings.
