Facebook, Twitter And Youtube BLOCKED In Turkey...How About Steemit?

Turkey coup: military attempt to seize power from Erdogan as low flying jets and gunfire heard in Ankara and bridges across Bosphorus in Istanbul closed.

I wanted to get this out and hopes that it goes as VIRAL as possible as fast as possible.

Turkey right now is under military seige. This hits close to home for me as I'm best friends with a Turk, let me tell you they're not that violent. They love to eat, get in intellectual battles but that's about the extent of it.

Anyways, all of the major social media sites have been BLOCKED but I guarantee Steemit isn't as they don't even know what it is yet.

So, I wanted throw up a thread with info for people in Turkey to let them know they can post here NOW.

The Associated Press is now carrying fuller quotes from the Turkish prime minister’s interview with NTV.Having confirmed his belief that an attempted coup was underway, Yıldırım said: “We are focusing on the possibility of an attempt [coup]. There was an illegal act by a group within the military that was acting out of the chain of military command. Our people should know that we will not allow any activity that would harm democracy.”

Prayers go out to the people of Turkey and their families, just another reason why we need to de-centralize EVERYTHING!

They're not, but they are owned by the Military Industrial Complex. Hence all of our Military bases there used in the Iraq War.

VPN's!
Paypal is out already in Turkey but they can still be paid via Bitcoin (hey cryptocurrency!). And there are even free ones or the tor browser.

If you are having troubles browsing the net in turkey due to the recent events check out: https://traceless.me if you are looking for a paid provider or alternatively airvpn. Both good options if you want a provider that is actually caring about issues like censorship and the likes and wasn't built as a pure business.

If you are looking for a free solution check out Tor: https://www.torproject.org/download/download-easy.html.en

May the situation in turkey find peace very soon.
