Crafting my bussel

My adopted dad was driving home from Sandy Bay this summer when he saw a young turkey vulture who'd lost his way home. Upon closer inspection, he noticed that its wing had gotten banged up. Likely from the torrid wind storm we had the day before. Something like 75-80 kmph gusts, or more must have thrown that bird off course. And tossed him around.

So he was walking around on the side of the road trying to fly. My adopted dad went out there, since he'd been looking for a new fan. And put the bird out of its misery. His hunting days are a little past him already, so this was a brilliant gift for him from creator.

Then one day I was sitting at my nieces house visiting when he showed up. He had something I wanted to see in the truck. So we went for a look. Which is when he told me the bird is for me. Such an honour. He had already out tobacco down for the turkey vulture when he picked it up. So, the spirit of the turkey vulture is respected in that way.

I have been planning to make a bussel with the feather for some time, so I decided today woukd be the day to get started.
