this is a rescue turtle and hes going back to the wild, i would not recommend keeping them as pets, as they are wild animals and need to be free, and if that doesnt change your mind, maybe the smell will.. this is a snapping turtle in the photo, and they stink, I have to change in water constantly so keep my whole house from stinking like turtle.. and he will be going back to the lake next week and free to live his life.. p.s. its bad luck to eat turtles
