I agree with the part about frustration. Many tend to give up in the first few days.

I am very sure this is not a get rich quick scheme! You need to build a following that like your stuff, regularly. My YouTube friend (full-time) posted to "fields of crickets", ie 1-2 views for 12 months. Now he gets 70k views and makes BANK after 2 years+ takes a while!

So far it seems people that put forth effort here actually make more than on youtube and faster. I'm not talking Pewdiepie type millions, but the average youtube author like your friend tends to make more here. What is even cooler is you can do both. Make it for youtube, then share it here with some additional comments and such, and as long as you are engaged with the community here and not doing fire and forget posts (posting, but not engaging in comments) you can get the best of both worlds.

That is probably true. I haven't been here more than a few days, (I think posting for maybe 1 or 2 days). I am sure i'll notice how things go as you engage more in the community.
