^^DTUBE VIDEO^^

Today I talk about how to, and benefit of, showering outside. Our well water comes from 350 feet inside the mountain. It is ice cold, crystal clear, and calls to me like a Siren. I hope you enjoy our video.

Really cool set-up man! When I was in New Zealand we were staying in this little shack on a beach and they had a "Copper" You've probably heard about them, but I never had. You start a fire under this thing and it heats the water for your shower, it's a really cool experience showering outdoors :) Keep living the dream, man!

That copper sounds great. I have heard of doing that. Where we are we hear alot about people starting fires under metal bath tubs.

Haha! That's one way to do it! It was great, it had the hot and cold mix of a standard shower and they had it set up with a gravity feed system that used rain water! I'd start a fire, then go out snorkeling and collecting mussels and clams, then come back to a nice hot shower! I still wonder sometimes why I ever left... ;)

Oh my Lord. We have so many outdoor shower stories too. I love your setup. If everyone 'got' to experience not having modern conveniences they would totally get this! When we would come and camp on our farm for several weeks, I had a solar bag I filled with water and heated in the sun. I would hang in a tree which was a total treat but then you miss the lymphatic shock. It came with a baby shower head that barely spit out water but boy did it feel good. I learned the benefits of hot to cold system shocks when my Momma had cancer. So many things we can do for our bodies Bravo!

Wow! Yep, We totally understand that little shower at the end of the day...makes you feel like a human again haha. We also have crystal clear rivers here that we would bath it.

The classic blue tarp...well done Yeti, well done!!! :-D

You cant beat a sweet tarp! Thanks for enjoying it.

Is that a 12 months a year arrangement, or just for the summer months?

It is set up so that it can be used year round. The frost free yard hydrant lets you have water all the time. I have used it in the middle of winter after cutting firewood all day and was real dirty and sore.

I would have never thought of showering this way! Your the sort of guy I would want to have around in the event of an apocalypse! I bet you can fish, hunt, and build a darn good fire too! I enjoyed this! Please make more like it @freedompoint !

Thank you @kawaiicrush! We have learned alot over the years. I hope to make alot of these type if videoes. And yes...I can do all of those things you mentioned haha. Did you see the knot tying video?

No I did 'knot' see it yet hehe.. I have been here for about 5 weeks or so and still sort of learning who everyone is yet.. finding you guys was a real treat! I am on my way to see it now! Sounds interesting :D

Great! You can also check out my wife Stacie D @freedomtowrite. She writes and does some videos as well.

I am just going to come out and say it... You are very blessed to have @freedomtowrite as your wife. There is no way I would be showering in ice cold mountain water! I am a certified wuss when it comes to cold showers. The mister, on the other hand, keeps toting the benefits of cold showers and hormesis. Hormesis sch-mormesis.... give me a hot shower please. -Aimee

Haha I do love Stacie D. Taking showers outside is very different...even hot showers. I appreciate that you are a certified wuss....living concsiously...and intentionaslly making decisions!🙃

Thanks! I do consciously ensure I have access to hot showers. I also intend to keep it that way. 🙃 The tiny house may have required short showers, but at least they were hot. I applaud you both.

In his younger days, Matt would visit family in Montana and he and his brother would take polar dips in glacier water. He has wanted to take me there for years, alas we have not made it yet. Shucks! I don't think I will be able to avoid it forever though as I know he wants to give the kids the same experience one day. 🙈 -Aimee

Yes! I support that. When we get on the bus we could meet you in Montana! That would make Stacie D so excited!

That would be amazing! This year might be a little dicey with trying to get a house built but meeting you guys in person is definitely on my bucket list. -Aimee

I understand. How far are you guys away from the montana border?

6 hours

Hhmmm thats not too far. How do we get across the border

Hahahaha Thanks Aimee! I love a good hot shower too...the kind where it gives you chills and makes your skin turn pink! But if it weren't for many years of summertime cold showers, I might not appreciate them as much!

"And the health benefits were good too," Stacie D mumbles to herself.

Oh jeez, your last line actually made me laugh out loud! -A

Hahaha I love it!

@freedompoint hahahah its very nice really this is a good way.

That's cool tutorial.. thanks for sharing...

Cold Shock Proteins!!!! Thank goodness for that blue tarp. @fredompoint Great video dude.

Haha Thank you! Having a great time. Thanks for your encouragement. That poor blue tarp....

I'm sure you are making your ancestors proud. Great setup.. :o)

Hahaha thank you

Buen video muy interesante ,saludos.

THAT was awesome!!!

I am glad you guys liked it. I am trying to have alot of fun with the new series.

Ha, I took a 'yard' shower just the other day, no blue tarp though.

That whole 'modesty' as a social construct thing is something I'm working past pretty quickly.

Good stuff, glad yall made it back home.

Glad you enjoyed the video. The modesty thing for us is respect...when I cover up it isn't for me it is for my wife Stacie D, and same with her when there may be others around.

Yeti Life is really beautiful natural place Photography,, and also that dtube video is so great thanks for sharing with us
