It is the Fourth Age of Middle Earth, soon after the events of the Lord of the Rings. Pascal plays a retired Ranger who fought in the war, but has become disillusioned with the new regime of King Elessar (Aragorn) because he thinks it has abandoned true Numenorean values, and given too much power to lesser humans (i.e. - non-Numenoreans). He joins an extremist political movement called "The Faithful" (named after the traditionalist faction led by Elendil just before the Fall of Numenor).
The leaders of the Faithful hire Pascal's character to transport a teenage girl they believe to be a descendant of Isildur, to the realm of Arnor (site of the long-ago Numenorean kingdom in the north of Middle Earth). The plan is for her to establish a new kingdom there that will uphold true Numenorean values, and exclude non-Numenoreans (or, alternatively, at least reduce them to second-class citizens). Since she is supposedly a descendant of Isildur (Elendil's oldest son), the Faithful think she has a better claim to rule both Gondor and Arnor than Elessar (who is a descendant of Anarion, Elendil's younger son).
During their quest, the Numenorean and the would-be princess must pass through still-dangerous regions of Middle Earth (there are still some orcs out there, plus other monsters and human brigands) and also evade agents of the King. Along the way, the Numenorean starts to question his reactionary ideology, influenced in part by the princess, who doesn't fully subscribe to the doctrines of the Faithful who are trying to use her.
Obviously, this idea combines elements from "The Mandalorean" and "The Last of Us," Pascal's two current hit series. Plus, it's set in the ever-popular Lord of the Rings universe! What's not to like?
