Chef Gordon Ramsay - Yea or Nay

This is Chef Gordon Ramsay. I had a like - dislike opinion of him. When I saw him for the first time he was on a show called Hell's Kitchen in 2005. Hell's Kitchen is a reality cooking competition where Gordon is the teacher, mentor, and judge. In the part of the show I saw he was yelling at the competitors and berating them throwing F-Bombs left and right and cutting them down. I thought he was really rude and abusive and I turned the channel. I happened to see another episode and Gordon was hosting some of the competitors to dinner being cordial, generous and joking with them. I kept watching until the same thing started happening. Later in the competition during a meal preparation someone screwed up and was immediately yelled at and berated by Gordon to the point where it was almost a personal attack. I was done watching him.

Today I watch the Master Chef series and 24 Hours to Hell and Back, two of Gordon's many TV shows from his production company called Studio Ramsay. He also has the Gordon Ramsay Group which encompasses his restaurant business. The Group has 35 restaurants globally and 16 Michelin stars.

I've learned that Gordon is first and foremost a multi-award winning British Michelin star chef. He and his wife have a foundation called Gordon & Tana Ramsay Foundation that works with the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity in the UK. The Great Ormond Street Hospital helps support some of UK's most seriously ill children. I've noticed that he does have a soft spot for children. He has 4 of his own. Gordon is a chef, restaurateur, TV personality, and entrepreneur. I've grown to like him, but still cringe that he so harshly berates people.
