Blackadder's Christmas Carol (23rd December 1988)
Ebenezer Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) is the nicest man in England, and one who is continually taken advantage of as result. On Christmas Eve he's visited by the Spirit of Christmas (Robbie Coltrane) to congratulate him on being such a commendable human being, and shows Blackadder glimpses of his more dubious ancestors.
Blackadder however sees how much better off each of them were lying, cheating, stealing and generally being rotten. Vowing to abandon his old ways and instead be more like his relatives. Is change of heart is poorly timed though as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, disguised as commoners, arrive to award Blackadder the sum of £50,000 for all his kindness and generosity. Blackadder however doesn't believe them and chucks them out.
Comic highlights: Future Baldrick (Tony Robinson) being Future Blackadder's slave master, throwing out the royals.
