Your Honor (episode 1-2): everyone's corrupted (SPOILERS)

New Orleans is (apparently) famous for its corruption. It's in this city (NOLA for the intimates) that Your Honor takes place. So far, it looks promising.

Brian Cranston plays a well-respected judge who seems neutral enough; he even jogged to a suspect's house and came to question an officer's testimony to show that he was full of it. But his virtue goes down the drain when his son, while having an asthma attack, does a hit-and-run. He wanted to play by the rules until he realizes that the victim is the son of a man with deep criminal ties. So he wants to cover it up...

(episode 2) He creates a story so his son will remember it, "planting" some details here and there to make it credible. He even asks a friend, who wants to become mayor, to "take care" of the car. Sadly, an unknowing teen "steals" it and gets arrested almost immediately (Desiato did report it to a colleague). After he, of course, denies that he drove the car, a corrupt officier in on with the criminal father abducts him to choke him with gas. After which he "confesses"; he even gets stripped down to show a tattoo.

This series looks very promising. We see the corruption of government, how (seemingly) all members will do anything to cover their asses - even have others falsely accused. I want to know how long Adam will endure this lie...

Final rating: 4.5/5 (an added bonus since I visited NOLA not long ago and recognized so many places and jargon)
