This episode is served as evidence that this show can be good when it wants to be.

I mean really good. I got some feels in this episode. The moment you take the baby out of the equation, things really look up. Except for Kate Strucker, I still don't like her character. All of her actions are focused around being a mom and a wife. We have no idea who she is outside of these roles and that makes her character boring and annoying to me no matter what.

Now to the good stuff which is everything else. Finally, we get to see some real action and real emotional conflict. The action was more in the atmosphere, not so much what we actually saw because of the budget restrains probably, but I liked what we saw. The emotional conflicts felt raw and real. Heck for most actors you can see the emotions going through their eyes before they act.

That ending though. Some real consequences with real directions for the show to go in. I am curious about what the Inner Circle's real big plan is. Curious to see what the Underground will do next and how the Morlocks will fit into all of this.

It also appears that the purifiers will become actual players in this season, and boy is the metaphor strong with them. So strong that even Jace Turner cringes away at first. I don't live in the U.S. and it made me cringe and also applaud the show for not avoiding the unavoidable.

Also, just an errand thought, do you think that the Morlocks that are in Marvel comic books and here are related or referring to in any way to the Morlocks in H. G. Wells's Time Machine?

I give this episode 8/10
