Lol, I got mugged and don't have a cellphone anymore, and no one in my family does (because they all got mugged too in different occasions 🙃)
edit: I think the closest cellphone or proper laptop in my reach is in the outskirts of the city, two or three hours of commute from my home

Here, they probably would, lol. I have so many stories to tell of people who resisted a mugging and got shot (and some vids too 😮)
But I'm planning on recharging my technology in a few days. I miiiight get a proper laptop. Might as in I'm not sure if the laptop I'm buying is good enough to have Discord open on it (while the one I'm on is certainly not enough).
I wish I had a bit of martial arts experience! I feel so weak and vulnerable. Even more since I got mugged. I can't even make myself leave my home alone or carry stuff, feeling like someone will steal it from me. And they're making me carry my laptop on foot! I might pay a taxi to retrieve it.

There are some, 15-minute walk from here, cramped space, I saw them carrying sticks in front of an instructor, so I assume that they have stick-fighting classes lol. If I were smaller than most, I would for sure. I’m much bigger than 99% of people though so just a little jiu jitsu training makes me feel very safe. The important thing is to learn to use the tools you have most effectively

Did two years of Muai Thai then decided I wanted something less punchy and more huggy. Did one year of BJJ but quit because the closest team with people in my weight category is an hour away by bus, and I could not choke out people with necks thicker than my thighs.
