Surely, Only Fools And Horses is one of the most popular British TV series ever, side by side with Monty Python's Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers or Doctor Who. One of the main roles in the show was reserved for Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst) and his older brother Del Boy (David Jason).
Nicholas Lyndhurst has give lately interview to popular UK website Daily Mail and open his heart about his career. He likes acting, but the pressure of all the fame can be really exhausting. You can’t see him at the street without sunglasses and cap, as disguise items for walking among the crowd. Generally, Nicholas is a very shy person, and he will very rarely be the one to start conversation at the table.
Because of that shyness, he almost never watch shows where he was staring. Also, there is another thing that is a reason for that. ‘I can’t watch it (TV show Only Fools And Horses) now. I don’t want to see friends who are no longer with us on screen,’ he told Daily Mail.
And unfortunately, that is a big true. A lot of the crew from TV sitcom aren’t anymore with us: Buster Merryfield (Uncle Albert); Roger Lloyd-Pack (Trigger); Lennard Pearce (Grandad) and also the show’s creator, John Sullivan. Because of that, the “gathering” of the old cast is impossible, despite the large audience request for that.
He and David Jason are still good friends but they are mostly meet each other on funerals, which is really a sad thing.
Kenneth MacDonald died young. He played Mike Fisher, the publican at the Nag's head. John Sullivan was a great script writer and its a shame he didn't finish writing "Rock & Chips", the prequel to Only Fools And Horses. I would of liked to know the full story but it wasn't to be.

good old times and great sitcoms from that period... It's a pity that we can't see that kind of humor these days... :(
