I think that it is important to learn more about the people we spend so much time with. When it comes to Facebook, I don't add people that I don't know, I don't talk to people that I don't know. Steemit really shouldn't be any different, not for me at least. When I work with new users I like to tell them that building relationships (friendships) is what will get them far here. People need to know who you are, they need to like you before they truly support you. Steemit life and success really isn't much different than the real world. Engagement is your best friend, in my opinion.
I have decided to join along in this 12 questions challenge as a way to show those I work with, that getting to know one another on Steemit doesn't have to be difficult. If our brains are tired from reading post and writing thoughtful comments, find other creative ways to learn more about others and for them to learn about you!
Here are a few fun facts about me:
1. What 3 meals would you have before heading to the International Space Station?
Without any hesitation I would eat multiple tacos. I am a big taco fan and I don't think I could ever get tired of them. They would certainly be first on my list. Although not a meal, I would pick a fruit salad next. This would consist of:
- strawberries
- grapes
- watermelon
- blueberries
My third meal would probably be what I order at Texas Roadhouse which is chicken tenders, a loaded baked potato and green beans.
2. What section of the newspaper would you be in?
This is sad to say but I don't do anything currently that would get me in the newspaper. My only option at this exact moment would be the obituary section. When I was younger, I was in the newspaper for winning 2nd place in the bowling league I was on. In the future when my life is more stable, I do have dreams to really help homeless people and those who deserve second chances (addicts, released inmates, troubled teens) turn their life around. I can only hope that would be enough to get in the newspaper one day.
3. If you were immortal, what age would you choose to stop ageing at and why?
I am only 26 now but I would probably choose 30. 20's are a rough age with still trying to figure out life. Even though I will never fully figure it out, by the time I am 30 I really hope to have life at least somewhat figured out. I will have learned several lessons and made enough mistakes to know better.
4. What sport would you compete in, if you were in the Olympics?
I'm not much for sports in general but I would do either boxing or some form of wrestling. Actually, I am sort of a wuss so now that I think about it, boxing is probably out of the question. So I am switching that answer for karate. I did karate when I was younger and really enjoyed it. I would like to start again one day or at least get my daughter into something like that.
5. If you had to go back in time to live the rest of your life where/when would you go?
This is really tough. I would probably have to say the stone age period, back when the aliens first started to communicate with humans before we scared them away...
6. If time and money were no barrier what would you create?
First I would "create" a bunch of houses, like hundreds. I would build a house of my own first. The other hundreds would be for all of the homeless people in the world and for all of the stray animals. I would also create something to help with global warming.
7. Have you ever completed anything on your bucket list?
I don't have a bucket list but if I did I would say no. Traveling and seeing popular attractions around the world would be on my bucket list. I hate to be a downer here but I have accomplished next to nothing in my life which has caused traveling to be non existent. I would just be a happy with a trip to the beach.
8. What would be the most surprising scientific discovery imaginable?
I can't pick just one here. First I would say proof of gods/goddess would be awesome, proof of aliens too. Basically anything to prove that we as humans are not alone in the universe.
9. Are you a good witch or a bad witch?
I'm glad you asked, I consider myself to be a confused witch. Technically a gray witch but I do also pray to God.
a Gray Witch is neutral. I do bless my sisters and those who may request it. I may use my magick in justice if me or my family is threatened. I do not play yet do not, nor will I hex or curse any just because you cussed at me on the high way. That is not what magick is for and there are consequences for misusing magick.
Those are not my own words, they are from the black moon community to give you an idea of what a gray witch is. For what it is worth, I have only done white magick (no harm, zero manipulation) but the thought of being neutral is there. Although I do believe in a God, I like my broom too. Shh...don't tell my husband because it freaks him out as I am sure it freaks you out too!
Wait, was this originally asked as a joke?
10. If you had to teach a class on one thing, what would you teach?
I would teach women to know their self worth. I would teach them to love, believe and trust in themselves. I would teach women the warning signs of a domestically violent partner so that they could avoid a toxic relationship like that. I would guide them on ways to become happy with who they are, I would teach them how to be brave and strong.
11. Which band/artist – dead or alive would play at your funeral?
I wouldn't want a band or artist at my funeral. Just let me go in peace with the traditional quiet sappy "go rest high on that mountain" song played through the speakers.
12. What book or movie read/seen recently would you recommend and why?
I used to love reading but have not done so in many years. I think the last books I read were the Twilight series in middle school, wait no I did read the 50 Shades Of Grey series but I don't know that I would recommend it. I don't have cable so I can't say I have watched a new movie recently but I did just watch the newest Ghostbusters movie for the second time and it is pretty funny.
So, there it is. Fun or maybe not so fun facts for you to learn more about who I am. Apparently there were rules to this challenge but I don't follow rules so I am leaving this just like is!

A wonderful post! =) It was really nice getting to know you a bit better. Did you see my video on dlive from last week Monday? I tried to get across the same sentiments about how we all, here on Steemit, sometimes forget that there are real people behind the posts and we should all try to engage authentically and more often with each other. I plan on making another video soon. Please go watch it! (Too late for upvoting but that's okay! Much more interested in hearing responses =) )

Even after reading these questions a hundred times, I still find answers that mean so much from the person giving them. Knowing what little I do about you, these answers do speak volumes about you as a person and what you have been through in life.
I do like the answer of Karate for a sport, that is a new one - and really good for both health and wellbeing.
