GRAY

Joe loved loneliness but his profession did not allow him to be alone for so long: he was a doctor, one of those who heals the heart. The people in the town were proud of him and his achievements and went in his quest to feel better but no matter how many scoldings he gave to his patients, Joe could not make them take care of his diet. It was a town rich in crops and parties to celebrate life.

His childhood sweetheart was lately very distant with him, he no longer wanted to accompany him to work, he did not want to visit or listen anymore, he complained that he did not have time for her anymore. The last time he visited, he just sat in the window, near the stretcher and sighed, I did not look him in the eyes and that made Joe sad. She wanted to have a child but her body could not please her and Joe could not. He just left her alone, he did not insist on his company. Finally in August, she left; he no longer wanted to know anything about him or the people now tired, dry, gray ...

Joe worked so hard that he did not realize that the plague had reached the village. He noticed that so many patients were not going to the hospital to heal his heart but to heal his thoughts, the corridor was filling up with patients and Joe did not understand why the topic of conversation that day was the ghosts. People believe nonsense! He said to himself.

One day, Joe decided to go out into the yard, he did not have any patients so he could use the time to relax a little, he sat on a bench near the general dining room and could notice that it was cold, dirty and so full of dry leaves, the tragedy In the town, there was no reason for the workers not to do their job! Thought. The fountain no longer had water, what would the birds be without a place to drink water?

A cold air crept all over his body, tried to button his vest but noticed that he no longer had buttons: How had that happened? How much time had he spent with the broken vest? What a shame! He thought, as he got up from his seat to return to his office.

The clouds threatened to continue tormenting the town and the empty psychiatric hospital for 20 years.
