Congrats to @bohemian.machine for winning this weeks contest.

Had some very cool cowboy stories this week.  I have read two Louise L'Amour books this summer, so the idea of the old west was on my mind.

So let's get to it.

Five Steem to   bohemian.machine for The Creature of Mount Haven this is just a good solid combination of the cowboy story and an alien invasion story.  And I liked to painting that went with the story.

Three Steem to  tokiya for James the Fast I liked the different structure on the story, nicely done.

One to Steem to  jackofcrows for Fire Over Brinkston tells the story of Maggie Pearson and her encounter with something strange.

Other entries this week, in no particular order:

seesladen and 91, The Tale of the First Flying Saucer I like this story as it comes at it from the the alien perspective.

beekerst and Jubal Jones and the Flying Saucer he comes at this story with a different approach on the term flying saucer!

cyemela and his entry tells the story of Lucky Aces a skilled poker player.

medusaeffect and Tormenta tells the story of Mateo and his journey across the West to live with the love of his life. On a side note this is medusa first post on Steemit, so let's show some support and upvote the post to get him started here.

oivas missed the deadline, but I still want to show support with his entry Unusual Friendly Object, which gives an unexpected take on the visitor from another planet idea.

As usual thanks everyone for your entries.  Please upvote this post and resteem it.  That helps fund and spread the word of the contest.

A new contest will be post later today on August 5.

Thanks again everybody!
