Herrrooo Dreamers,
Turtle Power Mondays was absolutely amazing!
The month long grind to earn back the World Record in TMNT IV : Turtles In Time Co-op Any% Hard with Dospostmann was a combination of euphoria and utter relief.
However, to tell that story let's start at the beginning of the night.
Around 7:30pm PDT on Monday the 22nd is when the lights came on for the Dream Stream. The "Now Live" emails have been sent and the energy pours in. The night begins with individual no reset runs from myself and Dospostmann to continue to prep for the Pixels for Peace Charity Tournament. The tournament is a double-elimination 1 on 1 race format and the event benefits Save the Children charity. I didn't improve on my previous time, but Dospostmann improved by almost 2 minutes at 29:38 .
After Dospostmann's epic time save came the hours and hours of grinding that would eventually reward us better than we had ever expected. As the night continued to crawl on with attempt after attempt and multiple runs slipping right through our fingers we battled for consistency. The sheer relentlessness and the belief of the Dreamers brought on what happened next.
12:14am on Tuesday the 24th culminated the epic tussle and sheer persistence that the Dreamers represent in one glorious run. Our previous best going in was a 21:40 and we ended the night with a 26.6 second time save and a new World Record of 21:13 and effectively crushing the previous World Record of 21:29 held by Sinister1 and mikwuyma .
That World Record was the perfect way to cap off the previous week of Dreaming. This upcoming week involves the epic even that is TwitchCon. I will be going with Dospostmann to go pick up our badges for the event on Thursday afternoon and we hope to see any of your amazing Dreamers there. Expect a lot of TwitchCon related content to be produced over the next week my friends. If you see me or Dospostmann please stop us, say hello and maybe let's get some flexie selfies in too!
