The first mention of Bitcoin on Twitter belongs to Hal Finney, a cipherpunk developer and one of the few people from the inner circle of Satoshi Nakamoto himself. Hal died of illness in August 2014, and his Twitter account remained inactive for more than a decade. However, the day before, Finney's profile posted a new tweet. As it turned out, this was done to preserve the digital history of Bitcoin against the background of ambiguous ideas of the new owner of the social network, Elon Musk.
