Twitter is now adopting live streams. The micro-blogging platform, recently rebranded as "X", will also allow users to download videos.

Elon Musk Demonstrates New Live Stream Feature For X
Elon Musk revealed that X's team is working on live stream functionality. He went live for 53 seconds on X last night, while informally talking and joking with his team at an undisclosed location.
Musk merely noted how well the video stream worked by saying, "Live video now works reasonably well". He remarked on a few technical challenges, which his team had apparently addressed successfully. However, he did not disclose any information about this upcoming feature, including its availability.
However, within a few seconds, Musk officially confirmed that X users can tap on the "camera button" while composing a post to go live on X.
X Users Can Download Videos But There Are Conditions
Musk has admitted that the Live Video feature on X requires finetuning but is available for users to experiment with. He had previously confirmed that X lets users download videos.
Just like with nearly all the new features introduced on X, even the Video Download privilege is locked behind the Twitter Blue paywall. In other words, only verified users will be able to download these videos. Additionally, content creators who post videos will have to grant their permission or consent for the feature to work.
Last month, Elon Musk Tweeted that X reached a "new high". He shared a graph that revealed X's user count has crossed 540 million.
As per official declarations, Twitter had about 229 million monthly active users in May 2022. This was before Musk's purchase of the firm in October.
Musk claimed that X had 259.4 million daily active users in November 2022. Simply put, if the graph Musk shared is accurate, X added more than 300 million users since he was actively involved with the platform's acquisition and management.
