Former unified heavyweight champion Tyson Fury feels extremely confident in his supreme boxing skills to dethrone Deontay Wilder after watching the fight between Wilder and Luis Ortiz.
Tyson Fury watched the WBC heavyweight champion Wilder go through the trenches against Cuban contender Luis Ortiz, in which Wilder finally scored a knockout win.
As we all saw Wilder was severely hurt in the seventh round, but managed to survive and recuperate to deliver an excellent finish against Luis 'King Kong' Ortiz.
Fury, who has been inactive since dethroning Wladimir Klitschko for the WBO, WBA, IBO, IBF titles in November 2015, is now in training to make a widely anticipated comeback to the ring this year.
A few months after his win to Klitschko, he travelled to the Barclays Centre, New York to confront Wilder after Wilder's sensational knockout win against Polish heavyweight Arthur Szpilka.
After months of depression and substance-abuse, his world titles and professional licence had to be taken off him.
Fury has recently been cleared by UKAD (United Kingdom Anti-Doping) who claimed the former heavyweight champion tested positive for a banned substance in 2015.
Fury told Sky Sports this week "He's made for me. Whatever happens in his career, whether he gets knocked out in his next fight, I want to fight him, because we've got unfinished business," Fury continued "When I get in the ring, I'll really give him a good hiding. He's a good puncher and he has got a puncher's chance all the way through until the end of the fight. But I believe I've got the best boxing skills in the division, and I'll give him a boxing lesson, and then I'll stop him, all 15 stone of him."
Fury's time has come and gone. I was impressed he was able to beat Klitschko, who for some reason looked like he was scared to be in the ring that night, but Fury had some mental health issues and didn't stay in shape. Even though he's not an old man, it is doubtful he'll be able to regain his form. Wilder and Joshua are almost as tall as Fury is but have much more punching power than Fury does and are much sharper right now because they've been active. If Fury fights either one of those guys, he will get KO'd.
