U23 Vietnam entered the Asian U23 tournament with an impressive record of being unbeaten in every match in 2019
U23 Vietnam entered the Asian U23 tournament with confidence rising. Park Hang Seo's team ended 2019 with the first SEA Games gold medal in history. That confirms the dominant position of Vietnamese football in Southeast Asia at this time.
More impressively, U23 Vietnam still holds an unbeaten record in 2019. In total, we have played 15 matches. In particular, there are 5 friendly matches against Taiwan U23, U23 Myanmar, Kitchee - Hong Kong (China), U23 China, U23 UAE. The remaining 3 matches are in U23 Asian qualifiers and 7 matches in SEA Games.
Of these, Park Hang Seo's teachers and students won 13 matches and drew 2. Two draws of U23 Vietnam against U23 Thailand (SEA Games group stage) and U23 UAE (friendly).
Thus, the victory rate of U23 Vietnam in 2019 is up to 86.67%. This is an extremely impressive figure, even more than the Vietnamese team. In 2019, the Vietnamese team played 11 games and was unbeaten but the winning rate was only 63.63% (won 7, drew 4).
Under the guidance of Coach Park Hang Seo, U23 Vietnam can completely confidently compete in the U23 Asian Championship with the ambition to win a ticket to attend the Olympic Games.
In the U23 Asian group stage, U23 Vietnam is in the same group with U23 UAE, U23 Jordan and U23 Tien Tien. We will play the opening match against Jordan U23 on January 10.
