Kenya has the third highest newborn mortality rate in East Africa. This means that the number of newborns who die during the first month is quite high. Similarly, the number of babies who are still-born in Kenya is on the increase. This being the case there is a need to urgently find solutions to help salvage the situation.
At Ubrica, we understand the plight of women and their children. We therefore have embarked on a mission to build sustainable one-health communities through one-health clinics, produce and product value addition workshops as well as a retail store, Soko Janja. Our research on live mothers live babies campaign has shown that pregnant women with little or no money to afford nutritious foods are more susceptible to developing diseases which ultimately affect their own lives and that of their unborn children.
Join us in this quest by shopping at Soko Janja (http://shop.ubrica.com/) and help us save a life of a pregnant woman and that of a child.
