The UFC and Dana White were targeting a super fight bout between current Heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic and current Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones. This fight was targeted for UFC 218.
Crazy as it may sound I think Jones has a good chance of beating Stipe. He is the more talented striker, he has the reach advantage, and the size difference isn't that big.
Stipe weighs in at ~240 lbs for his fights at HW, and although Jones fights at 205 lbs for LHW he walks around at ~235 lbs and he's pretty lean all year round so Jones really doesn't need to bulk for Stipe, and even if he decides to he doesn't need to bulk much.
Unfortunately this fight may never happen, hopefully Jon's failed drug test was just a terrible misunderstanding but by the looks of it Jon will get a 2+ year suspension and will never fight at HW let alone a super fight with Stipe. Your thoughts?
