Where Does This Leave The Light Heavyweight Division?

What does the recent news of Jones being popped for steroids means for the legacies of Jones and Cormier? Should Jones still be the GOAT? Is this the end of Jones's career?

Jones came back from suspensions and began what was supposed to be his redemption story. He makes a phenomenal comeback and knocks out DC with a devastating head kick. He retakes the title and perhaps even revoked Cormier's entire championship reign. The octagon has never seen another with as much talent as Jon Jones.

Jon got popped for a steroid yesterday and I cant help but feel like we've already seen all this before. The big question is what now? It appears very likely that Jones will be stripped and suspended for at least 2 years. Jones is 30 years old right now, would he try to make yet another comeback 2 years from now? What about Cormier? If Jones is suspended, will Cormier sit around for 2 years waiting for Jones? Cormier is 38 right now, it's unlikely he'll fight Jones at 40.

How times have changed. The LHW division used to be the flagship division of the UFC. Some notable names include:

-Rashad Evans
-Lyoto Machida
-Mauricio Rua

Now with Jones is casting a giant shadow on the entire division preventing any real progress being made. Will any upcoming champion get the respect they deserve or will everyone still consider Jones the champ? The entire situation just really sucks. If Jones is suspended I suspect it will end his career, I also suspect Cormier will retire. Let's see if Oezdemir can give the division a new breath of life.
