Gustafsson must have been pleased with his 5th round KO. After all, during his last outing in Sweden, he was the one who suffered a 1st round KO loss to the recently retired LHW title contender Anthony Johnson. Gustafsson could not hold back the emotion of his win as he straddled the top of the cage. During the post fight interview, Gustafsson called for his girlfriend to come inside the octagon. He then went to one knee and proposed as the crowd chanted.
UFC Fight Night 109 was held in Stockholm, Sweden. The UFC card was headlined with a main event fight between two former title challengers Alexander Gustaffson took on Glover Teixeira. The hometown advantage went to the Sweden native Gustafsson, who connected heavy shots that finally took Teixeira slamming to the mat.
Congrats to Gus who had a double win in Sweden.
