Jason "Mayhem" Miller is in trouble with the law again. NBC Los Angeles reported that, “Mayhem” was arrested Friday and held without bail at the Orange County Sheriff jail. He was arraigned in Orange County Superior Court on Tuesday on a single county of felony vandalism causing damage of $400 or more, per online court records. The problem for Mayhem is that this is a parole violation as he accepted a four year suspended sentence from a domestic violence complaint last April.
I trained with Jason "Mayhem" Miller many years ago when he was on top of the world with Bully Beatdown, and he had a cult following among some MMA fans. He was a great guy and a skilled fighter. It has been sad to see his decline, and he has become a poster child for what can happen to fighters that waste the opportunity of being at the top
That sucks, I was a fan. He obviously & undoubtedly has many TBI’s.
How many fighters do you need to see have problems before you start talking about why they are having problems?
You can’t continually, or ever for that matter, treat your brain like a punching bag & have everything still work properly. Combat sports are a lot of fun to watch & participate in but they cause irreversible brain damage leading to wreckless irrational behavior & many other problems later in life.
Call it what it is, Jason Mayhem Miller most likely has a lot of impulse & behavioral control issues because his brain has been impacted severely too many times & does not function normally anymore. You can say he wasted his opportunity at the top, but you are not being honest with the situation for him, yourself, & particularly for young aspiring fighters.
Sorry for the rant, but I get sick of the willful/wishful ignorance when it comes to brain damage & violent sports & it makes me super sick to see kids continuing to be manipulated into sacrificing part of their intelligence for ego (usually someone else’s).
Take care of your brain!

Thanks so much I agree 100%. The UFC wanted to be better than Boxing but they did what Boxing did and made the fighters independent contractors so they could dispose of them at will. I wish someone would take this to court as the Labor Laws on independent contractors get stricter and stricter to prevent this kind of abuse.

Thanks for acknowledging, It’s a difficult subject to talk about. This video illustrates my feelings very well. Especially one of the very last sentiments
I have a lot of personal experience caring for my dad who was dementia for the last 10 years, he’s only 71. Can only imagine what it’s like to have a professional athlete as a father & see him go through dementia at an even younger age. It is the families of these athletes that end up doing the heaviest lifting.
