Andrei 'Pitbull' Arlovski

...is the legendary former UFC Heavyweight champion, and still currently ranked amongst the top 10 killers of that division. The Belarusian Blitzer is a heavy handed Sambo master, he has incredible takedown defense and deceptively fast hands. The Pitbull owns one of the fastest knockouts of all time (15 seconds into the fight over Paul Buentello), a fight which gave Andrei his first (and only) title defense

Arlovski has faced an absolute onslaught of current, and soon to be champions. From Miocic to Ngannou, Arlovski has faced the toughest men in the hardest hitting division; do not let those losses fool you, he is still a very dangerous individual. 'AA' will be pit against a streaking up and comer in Singapore, this is a stark contrast to his illustrious resume of legends he has conquered. Arlovski may have lost a step since his prime, but power is the last thing to go, and you can never underestimate 'The Pitbull'!

Marcin 'Tybur' Tybura

...is the former M-1 heavyweight champion who went undefeated for 3 years as a 10-0 fighter. He was signed to the UFC early last year, and he has fought three times since his debut. He was a bit outmatched in terms of size and strength in his first bout against (the ogre) Tim Johnson, but Tybura has grown into his striking game and has seemed more confident...so confident in fact that he is on a two fight win streak, both by finish, both by strikes. .

His head kick that devastated Viktor Pesta is one of the most impeccably delivered knockouts of last year, he has shown an ability to dismantle and outlast wrestlers quite well. Tybura will have to rise to the occasion in his upcoming bout, as he is fighting the highest ranked opponent of his career, and most likely the craftiest and hardest hitting. Tybura was a young champion, and he had finished a lot of Europe's best heavyweights (Grabowski, Glukhov) before even entering the big leagues. He will come in with confidence and motivation to attain the coveted UFC belt!

Prediction:

Arlovski is the not the man he once was, the damage he has taken in the past few years would make me happy in hearing of his retirement. He is still with an amazing training camp in Jackson WinkleJohn, and I expect him to come in fully prepared and motivated. Tybura is the younger fighter, and at this point much more durable. I give him the advantage if the fight makes it into the later rounds, I think he can pick his shots better and land at a more frequent pace than his slugger of an opponent.

Arlovski is a bit flat footed and is known to gas out midway through fights, this is because of his extreme aggression and power output early in fights. The Pitbull will come to throw down, and if Tybura obliges, I can see the power of either man connecting and making a huge impact in the ending of this fight. I am going to go with size and power here, the old lion is cornered....
