Fake UFOs?

It seems to have the shape of a jet fighter

Coming out of a restaurant last night, we met a group of puzzled folks on the roadside outside of the pub.

They were looking at the sky and wondering whether the image in the pics above (centre, just above the horizon) was a UFO, or a more commonplace place phenomenon. The object in question seemed to approximate a jet fighter in shape and looked to be leaving behind a wake in the clouds.

Well, I'd had a couple of ciders and a fine meal, so was ready to give any idea a chance. We stood around and watched it drift across the skyline, leaving what appeared to be a wake behind it...all out of sync with what the other clouds were doing. When I say drift, that's just what it did, at a rate that no self respecting alien abductor would slow too.

After another beer on the sidewalk with our new friends, the image dissapated. Only a cloud after all, no potential invasion.

I find it amazing what brings new friends together, but it usually includes alcohol!
