I have a longstanding amateur interest in the Fermi Paradox and the possibility of extraterrestrial life. Here's why I don't believe this report:
The "whistleblower" claims that the US government has for decades had in its possession material from alien spacecraft and even bodies of alien pilots. I simply don't believe the federal government could keep something like that secret for so long. They just aren't that good at keeping secrets. At all. He also claims some foreign governments are aware and some have their own alien space tech in storage. That would make the secret even harder to keep.
In this case, there was and is a huge incentive to reveal the secret! If it were made public, the Pentagon and NASA would quickly get huge boosts to their budgets. Democrats and Republicans would trip over each other in rushing to spend more money on spaceflight and air defense against aliens with potentially vastly superior tech. The Pentagon and NASA had especially strong incentives to leak this back when both were enduring large budget cuts in the 1990s. Yet they didn't.
This guy also says the US has been working on reverse-engineering super-advanced alien tech from these spacecraft. If so, where are the fruits of this labor? Why hasn't it produced any meaningful advances? Maybe the people working on this are the utterly incompetent "top men" from Raiders of the Lost Ark. But I would expect at least SOME competent scientists to be involved, if the government really has had this stuff for many years.
Admittedly, future events could prove me totally wrong here. Perhaps the "whistleblower" has genuine hard evidence. Or maybe Biden is about to hold a press conference where he reveals the alien tech and/or bodies! Until something like that happens, however, I strongly suspect the source for this story is deluded, lying, or some combination of both.
