Visiting Uganda – day 12 - Meeting with Jarau and Yohan
Uganda, 2018/04/06, Kiyunga, Vision for Africa
This morning I (right) met with @jaraumoses (middle) and @yohan2on (left) here in Vision for Africa.
We talked about, of course, steemit. Both of them are really eager to force this technology to the people, to bring some jobs and hope to them. Their first priority is the mission, not earning money. We have had a lot of good thoughts. I created a short protocoll and in the next days we are going to fix it.
In the afternoon we did a bushwalk. Here one can see one of the brick-heaps:
A coffee-plant:
Bricks have to be formed and dried under some leave:
That plant in the foreground is a mark between two plots (between the two gardens):
Banana:
Termits. Our guide gave me a head of one termite, so I could eat it. It tastes similar to grashoppers ;-)
Jackfruit (very tasty):
Traveling ants:
We came to a house, were the people sat outside on the floor. Their Familiy-boss has died a few days before and yesterday was their funeral. They are very poor. I took some pictures (we were allowed to), but I don't want to share them here. On boy climbed into an avocado-tree in their garden and grapped some fruit for us.
My son also climbed in:
It was very funny to the boy to see a muzungu in their tree:
These houses were started to be build, but then the money went out. One can see a lot of unfinished houses here:
