Loving you.

It’s easy to love someone when everything is perfect. It’s easy to love someone when they’re making you happy. It’s easy to love someone when they’re being everything that you need. It’s easy to love someone when they’re doing and saying all the right things. It’s easy to love someone when they’ve figured out how they feel about you. It’s easy to love someone when they’re loyal to you and only you. But to love someone when things are difficult, to love someone when their flaws are showing, to love someone when they’re making mistakes, to love someone when they’re at their lowest, to love someone despite how broken they are, to love someone when they’re being challenging, to love someone when they’re not sure of what they want, to love someone when they’re breaking the very heart you’re loving them with, that’s not easy. That’s what’s hard. That’s why most people give up and try to find someone else who’s easier to love, but you know what? To love someone when they least deserve it is when you need to love them the most because that kind of love is a lot more beautiful, that kind of love is a lot more meaningful, and that kind of a love is a lot more real. Not everybody will understand that, but not everybody is meant to because only those with big hearts know how to love that way, and they do so knowing that although it won’t be easy, it’s worth it.
