(QUICK BACK STORY) My mother has Rheumatoid Arthritis and spends 50% of her time either not being able to breathe or in some hospital room having tests to try and find out whether she'll be able to walk by the time she's 50 and am very passionate about the NHS and its current state and there is a whole story I will release soon about how the HMRC is attempting to steal over 5000GBP off of us because of a benefit mix up ON THEIR SIDE because they falsely said that I could be a carer and didnt bother to ask whether I could be a student or not, absolutely ridiculous and will go into it MUCH more detail in another post and knowing that such an amazing beautiful community such as steemit can give me advice and help on this situation is bloody amazing and warms my heart it really really does, anyway read the article silly ;)
Those of us who are currently "blessed" to be under the dominion of Theresa May at the moment have recently witnessed the collapse of a private company that handled the outsourcing of contracts issued by the UK government for a variety of different actions, Carrilion. Now if you didn't know but Capita also runs a wide array of government contracts, facts courtesy of the Guardian;
[Runs government helplines for:
• The state pension
• Jobseeker's Allowance
• National Insurance number allocation
• Winter fuel allowance
Transport:
• Operates London congestion charge
• Manages wifi services for Transport for London, including free public access on London Underground
• Provides IT infrastructure services for UK air traffic control
• Planning for 10km of cycling routes in Salford
NHS/health:
• Provider of blood transfusion systems to some hospitals
• Manages communications between the NHS and its suppliers, vetting firms on data security standards
• Provides online payment systems to some NHS trusts
Pensions:
• Runs the teachers’ pensions scheme
• Works on behalf of the pensions regulator on the automatic enrolment of staff into company pension schemes
Other:
• Army recruitment
• Electronic tagging of offenders in England and Wales
• Operates the Gas Safe register for the Health and Safety Executive
• Carries out disability workplace assessments
• Operates the BBC licence fee ]
Now albeit disgusting that these sorts of contacts are even in the sector can I just say that the fact that the company in question despite faltering profit, STILL payed massive dividend and bonus payments to the financiers and is now trying to claw back almost £750MILLION from the same people that it practically illegally gave the dividends too.
A PRIVATE COMPANY CAN DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT MY MOTHER IS "FIT" FOR WORK OR NOT, NOT A DOCTOR, NOT A NURSE, BUT A BLOODY BUREAUCRAT
Well I suppose its written all in the stars when a company that profits from putting tags on prisoners, doesn't even know how to make itself profitable and are not fit for purpose; then how in hell are they fit to define whether or not a disabled person is fit?
Disgusting and will no doubt collapse once again showing the UK that privatisation whilst in some cases useful;
Is a greed driven train with only few passengers being allowed to get off at their stop while the rest get stuck on a track with a tree over it.
