Ice Cream on Brighton Sea Front

This vintage ice cream van was parked on Brighton Promenade in front of the i360 tower.

It is a fully functioning van and was pretty busy but I managed to get a quick photograph when the ice ream seller retreated inside and the queue briefly disappeared.

All the ice cream is locally produced in Cornwall, down on the farm.

This is my entry to @juliank's and @photocontests for this daily photography contest.

    Very nice retro truck and retro treats :) Nice reminder that food trucks didn't just pop up out of nowhere in 2010 haha they are super trendy here right now

    I generally only see them in car parks in beauty spots and such like @steven-patrick but I don't live in the sort of area where it would make sense for them to patrol.

    Maybe they still operate in the suburbs. 😊

      They are very trendy in San Francisco. They organize meet ups where 10 -12 trucks will show up for lunch. There is even a food truck park with an old bus fixed up with tables and some other permanent tables.

        What? So you get 10-12 ice cream vans in one place @steven-patrick. You'd need a lot of people to make that work.

        I don't think you can just show up here anywhere. There are certain "rounds" and only one van per car park (the car parks are relatively small l in beauty spots). 😊

                      The daft thing about it is I know there is not chocolate in the house since I deliberately don't buy it. But I'm ever hopeful that I might find some somewhere I've forgotten!
