More birds than fit expansive skies

Arcing above me.

Wings cast abstract shadow paintings.

I love the idea behind the poem but line two needs to be shortened to 5 syllables. It has 7 now.I will look back before I make a decision to see if you have edited it to fit. Good luck in the challenge!

this reminds me of Plato's cave, the people who see shadows and believe them reality. there is a depth here, a thought that these birds are leaving imprints of themselves from the expansive skies not only through their shadows, but in the eyes and mind of the narrator.
