You love to see it. Ukraine improves its corruption ranking by 3 points. It has improved 10 points since Maidan in 2014. It now ranks 104 out of 180. That's the same rank as Brazil and ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey.
Meanwhile Russia fell 2 points and is at its lowest point ever in Transparency International's rankings.
Ukraine continues to make significant anti-corruption reforms. In particular Ukraine has furthered judicial independence and strengthened its anti-corruption prosecution capacity. As evidenced by some of the high-profile prosecutions this past year. Unlike some of the other EU candidates, Ukraine is making significant progress towards the necessary reforms for EU membership.
