A not so modern tank would cost about 10 million dollars or more and yet they are still so vulnerable even from a commercial #Drone weaponized with RPG warheads or Mortar bomb shell like as we see in This video, so one or two drops of those RPG warhead or Mortar shell will burn a ten or more million dollar tank, what more waste of needles money if a tank is a more modern one?
Often these tanks or armored personnel carrier and other war support vehicles are being shot and obliterated with modern anti-tank/bunker/jet weapons costing from around $40K to $100K+ dollars. So you could just imagine these instruments of war being used and destroyed in thousands or hundred thousands during the course of this needless war by Putin against Ukraine while threatening all the rest of us with Putin's nuclear arsenal.
But I know the predicament of the West/NATO-US about spending so much for support of Ukraine in defending their country. It is because Russia must not take-over Ukraine for the reason that one by one the surrounding Baltic states plus especially Finland and some Nordic countries will suffer the same fate thereby making Putin's Russia to gain more power.
Actually Russia is a force to reckon which had been already too big it is now a monster ready to devour other countries ready to make waste to their territory, which is why it had gotten to be almost untouchable and that is we all fear because of its military capabilities like nuclear considering the fact that one Fascistic, authoritarian, paranoid and evil mass-murdering, war criminal individual in on the reigns to terrorize all of us.
It is the reason why the west would not engage to Russia directly for the risk of a nuclear confrontation which will definitely on the table once that unfortunate war would happen. I am assuming that if the west will make war with Russia and suppose that Russia will lose which is inevitable then Putin would be compelled to use nuclear bombs and that will end all of us unless some hero in the Kremlin is brave enough to stop Putin for good.
Now Putin had drafted about 130K plus people to most probably send to Ukraine to help in the invasion thereby making Ukraine to be the world's biggest meat grinder in the process. Even a single life is more precious than a thousand tanks because a dead person cannot come back but tanks will can be and even upgraded.
But Putin is ready to make other people die just to satiate his fantasy and illusion to make Russia "great" like in the past which is a lie, Russia never had been great because it is always been ruled by tyrants like Putin and known to clear mines in the battlefield by making coerced soldiers to run over it to clear the mine field.
The earth is so small, somebody frats and we all have to endure the smell. Why can't we have nice things? It is because unfortunately a monster is on the loose, we are actually held hostage, a single evil person threatening us "If you intervene with my mass murder I will push the red button". So humanity had never seen a threat like this, capable of razing us all from the ground and making the earth toxic for a few thousand years.
