It's great time now in Ukraine.
Weather is great, sunny and warm, there are many cherries and berries in the gardens :)
And I have a good time, at this weekend, gathering cherries with my family and preparing berries for jam.
It's traditional for most Ukrainians to reserve some fruits and berries for the winter. And then, when it's snowing to drink a hot tea with delicious jam (it's called 'varennya' in Ukrainian).
All you need:
Ingredients
3 cups pitted, chopped fresh cherries
1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 (2 ounce) packages powdered fruit pectin
3 cups white sugar
4 half pint canning jars with lids and rings

Nice post and its clever tradition in cold winters to have some vitamins as well.
