Ah yes the same Putin that has broken countless other agreements with Ukraine. It is how we got here in the first place.
This talking point always annoys me as it ignores Bucha, Izium, Mariupol and many other episodes in the occupied territories of Russian atrocities against Ukrainians. We aren't talking about some fixed conflict border. We are talking about territories of Ukraine that two years ago were held by Ukrainians. Ukrainian citizens are being tortured and forcibly relocated in the occupied territories. Their children are being sent to reeducation camps.
Even setting aside the ongoing threat to Ukrainian safety of a Russia with maximalist irredentist intentions, Ukrainians are being harmed. It is a naive proposal, but even worse it is an obfuscating proposal of the reality of the Russian occupation.
