Every Saturday heralds @surpasinggoogle discord channel radio talk. The open forum meeting is scheduled for 12 am Manilla time (+8 GMT). During this section confusions are resolved, solutions to questions are proffered, new knowledge is gained and opinions are highly welcomed. Though this is for the Steemgigs server 6th radio talk, this is my first time of joining in the discussion and it has been wonderful. My late response to the discord talk was first of all attributed to fear of exhausting my data during the talk but was however encouraged in one of @surpassingoogle’s recent post that says ”you are concerned about data? Let’s see if it will be exhausted or maybe you won’t have than enough to join in the next discord radio talk.” I must confess that it has been a wonderful experience all through, I had the priviledge of witnessing two sections; @mermaidvampire and @surpassinggoogle.

I’m sorry everyone for making a belated post about what I learnt during my first Steemgigs discord server radio talk participation but I believe we learn everyday and it is better late than never. It wasn’t intentional however but has a result of my busy schedule all through this past week.

Points I noted from @mermaidvampire’s steemgigs discord channel radio talk;

1. We are a happy people
2. Nations are just locations
   • Anyone can succeed
   • You have the right to shine
   • You have what it takes to shine
3. Shaping yourself to become better and also helping to shape others to showcase their beauty.
4. Surpassinggoogle is going back to the basics.

Steemit Philosophy

People coming together regardless of nations, culture and language to interact and connect.

@mermaidvampire’s steemit experience with @surpassinggoogle

Though her account was created December, 2017 but she started blogging Jan, 2018. She isn’t the type of person to stay many hours online blogging but with steemit in play, she coped and adapted to the wonderful communities steemit has to offer, she isn’t also the kind of person to initiate a conversation. When she started things were pretty rough, she had written a lot of posts and was hoping for upvotes from whales which never seems to be forthcoming but she wasn’t the type to beg for an upvote. Then like an answer to prayer, @surpassinggoogle came along and went through her blog posts and upvote all that was there to upvote. She was very surprised and happy when she came online to behold such surprise and that was perhaps her first massive upvote of that kind.

When @surpassinggoogle digested one of the contents of her blog post, he made a comment which I know that @mermaidvampire held precious even till now. He said;

Karen, “it is not a point in your life but a comma.”

Hmmn! Such an inspiring word embedded with deep meaning, a word powerful enough to keep a man going in the journey of life. Thank you Sir Terry!
After such encounter with @surpassinggoogle, they became more than just mere friends which was later the trending talk amongst other steemians. People had several misconceptions like; @surpassinggoogle is offering preferential treatment to Karen, @mermaidvampire is the favourite of @surpassinggoogle etc. How she handled the matter impressed me, she had to tell everyone present at the Steemgigs discord channel radio talk her story where she mentioned that she and @surpassingoogle just started having real chat after the Steemgigs discord server 4th radio talk.

She however didn’t end her story without giving us an insight to who she thinks @surpassinggoogle really is;

• He is a beautiful man, a man of essence
• A man who sees beauty for what it truly is
• A dolphin with a whale heart
• @surpassinggoogle’s actions and interactions with other steemians showed how much he cares. He cares a lot!

Yea! She talked about a lot of things before Sir Terry showed up for the Steemgigs 6th discord server radio talk. She talked about the wonderful initiatives created by @surpassinggoogle which was a product of his vision of changing the world, turning it into something beautiful. Initiatives like;

Untalented

This initiative is birthed to eliminate the feeling of un-belonging, not having talent, intimidation and inferiority complex.

Note: No one is without talent, it’s just that sometimes we are put in a box that don’t fit or we are just too scared, “scared of what people might say, think, too shy, already believed that you don’t have what it takes etc.”

Untalented helps to break free from those limitations; it changes people’s perspective and orientation as regards believing in their un-talentedness. For example; Before, I couldn’t sing a song to a crowd but with the help of the untalented initiative I was able to let it all out. It was then I realized that what untalented aims at is freedom, freedom to do beyond your expectations.

Steemgigs

It is a very nice project that places much importance on people and their ability.
Gig means jobs or opportunities while Steemgigs is the platform where freelancers and employers meet and ask for services or seek out people to employ to do their gigs. On steemgigs, ”everyone has something to offer.”

Thanks to steemgigs, I offer my service as a delivery girl to people from my locality; I do grocery shopping, delivers flowers etc for 3sbd which to me is somewhat a kind of salary scheme.

Ulogs

This is the most recent and trending of Sir Terry’s initiatives and he still has great plans in store for it. People have already started to enjoy the beauty of Ulogs within the steemit blockchain and outside.

Points noted from @surpassinggoogle’s radio talk;

1. Steemit is genius, steemit is organic
2. Steemit is the dream within the vision providing a pathway to steemit blockchain
3. Apprehensiveness of hoping: There are some that money doesn’t appeal to anymore even after seeing what monetary benefit steemit has to offer. For example, a hospital patient on the sick bed; what they need is to be loved to feel the love around them, they need you to give them reasons to live by making happy memories for them etc.
4. Freedom will enter your game when you tackle those simple things.
5. Every missing piece of a puzzle lies in an anonymous head
6. Never overlook or underestimate the resteems of a minnow: The power of a resteem goes a long way and it’s quite underestimated by people probably because it doesn’t produce an instant result. But however, resteems advertises the post `on the newsfeed for all to see until it meets the right eyes and ears that will find the beauty in your blog post, then your expectations becomes a reality.
7. Pay attention to details especially small things because opportunities might be deeply rooted in it.

Don’t let your case be; How come something as simple as this, no one thought of it?

Therefore, give priority to those simple things.

From the mouth of the mastermind @surpassingoogle “WE ARE RESHAPING THE INTERNET USING ULOG”

Ulogs and its prospect: Ulogs is not just about us, it’s also about thinking of the future generations so that they would also experience the beauty of ulogs whenever they explore the blockchain. Ulogs isn’t about steemit only, it passes message to the outside world, it teaches and educate through the ulogs stories created by uloggers to inspire the world as a whole i.e whenever people pass across beautiful messages contained in a ulog post, they should be inspired. The good news is that people can have access to this ulogs at any time, the ulog world will pop up at the mention of ulogs in the internet search engine thereby welcoming them into a whole new world of information, experiences etc.

He told us to expect more from ulogs in the coming future.

With those things that I learnt from the 5 hours discussion with @mermaidvampire and @surpassinggoogle, I’m thrilled because it widens my eyes, scope and gives hope to await the greater things coming and it gives me an urge to be a partaker in this world changing initiatives. It has been pretty amazing from the @untalented to @adjustments to @ steemsecret to @steemgigs to the vastly expanding world of @ulogs.

The show was lit

The show was lit up by the presence of wonderful steemians in person of @maverickinvictus, @dynamicshine, @eunireal, @mickyscofied, @mermaidvampire I was so glad because that will be the first time I will be hearing her voice, she has a nice voice and she is very jovial. @nexrules a very active steemian throughout the show, @garygabby, @alzamna, @snowhite, @penking, @glenyosores and I love the song sung by @andrewjohntamban titled “I AM SURPASSIAN”,

@gnomicrules, @geyzee, @oredebby, @samirich, @eldee, @atongis, @steve1122, @elisnext2you, @juviemay, @starzy, @czera, @mahmud, @irak mahmud, @saskia, @iwrite, @bloghound, @josediccus who sang songs by artiste such as Ed sheeran, Eminem and Celin dion. Songs were played; “millions dream from the movie-greatest showman, “I was here- by beyonce etc.

I must say this discord radio talk show is a blessing!
