Dear Diary: A Funny Story About The Bat

The Fruit Bat Eats Only Fruits and Has No Echo-location Abilities

Bats are an essential animals for our surroundings and most people doesn't know about their benefits. Bats actually are insect catchers so they are a friend to farmers because they control the population of insects that can obliterate products that farmers produce like rice. The small bats eat insects but there is a species that eats blood and they have a specialized saliva that numbs down the skin before biting it to extract the blood from an animal like a horse or a pig.

Some species of bats like the big fruit Bats also known as the "Flying Fox" eats fruits but they themselves are made as a food for humans that hunt them. So the government must find a way to protect them and educate the public about them so that they won't be hunted as food.

There is a funny story by my uncle when he was drinking with a friend and his friend gave him cooked big bats. He told us that it was delicious. So when he was eating the cooked bat meat, this was their pika-pika because they were drinking liquor at that time, he just ate the breast parts and left the wings for his friend.

My uncle's friend told him how the poor guy was bit in the mouth. It is because they kill the trapped bats by biting its head so it won't struggle around while they are carrying it. So it is just funny and painful and a cringy story too to hear it when that story got relayed to us by my Uncle when we were visiting my grand mother many years ago.
