Friday happiness

It was pouring down with rain since dawn and I honestly thought it was going to be a day for catching up on some reading or a Netflix marathon.... I should have known better though since we live on an island and the weather is unpredictable to say the least. 😂 At least with the anticyclonic weather we've been experiencing the last six months.

The rain did eventually clear up so I was HAPPY!! It meant I could go for my walk. Don't get me wrong... The rain was an awesome excuse to stay home and curl up with my book on the couch.

Having said that and having bitten the bullet and gone for the walk I saw reflections in the water everywhere on my path.

It made me reflect on why we're often looking for an excuse not to do something. It's Friday, I'll exercise on Monday, it's raining, I'll do it later. I've told you before I'm the world's worst procrastinator but seeing these reflections made me think about whether I'm reflecting happy vibes in my life. Sure enough we're not always happy 24/7 but what do we reflect to the people around us. Do we reflect happiness, integrity, beauty, humbleness or are we just reflecting misery and discontent.

Perhaps it's an area of our personas we can work on. I sure know I can.

This morning though I am HAPPY! I'm happy for being able to walk by the ocean. I'm happy to have hubby home for an extra few days. I'm happy my children are such amazing creatures, (we do drive each other nuts at times but that's OK), I'm happy about going to visit my family soon. I'm happy that I can work on my blog and my love for amateur photography. I'm happy to be alive! I hope that you can see my happiness in me when you see me. 😊 And I wish happiness for you too.
