Impromptu coffee with friends.

Wednesday is hump-day and it means the weekend is closing in!

I've had a slow start of a morning until I was surprised by not 1 but two friends that popped in for an impromptu coffee. Totally unplanned which meant my plans for working on the computer and catching up on some admin went flying out the window for the last two hours. But you know what?

I am not sorry at the least! Since our return from India we've had two very hectic weeks with hubby still home on leave and then helping him prep the boat to go out to sea followed by the past weekends hectic horse-riding shenanigans which was lovely but tiresome to say the least. I can see the girl-child is feeling the effects of the hectic weekend.

The past three days I've just been home mostly trying to catch up on life and all my blogs and admin that fell behind immensely whilst we were in Andaman but even having said all that. Having had these friends drop in this morning unannounced made for some lovely girly time and just catching up with each other's lives. Something that we often neglect to do in the craziness of life. So all in all I haven't done a thing this morning except doing just that. Catching up with my friends and they with me. How lovely is that!!

Sometimes we need to push the work aside and just enjoy the moment and the opportunity presented to you in that moment.

Regrettably now I have to get out of my chill mode and get cracking on at least a little bit of admin before I pop out for a food-shop later. The X-man has been moaning because mom's been too lazy to brave the shops and we're fast running out of food.
