20th #Ulog: Fiery Fury Controlled

Was up in the bed very late this morning since last night was a blast celebration of our DepEd Cultural Show. And it was a great joy when it was announced by the city mayor that the next day will be non-working for us teachers.Hurray, what a treat!So, after the program which lasted until 11 P. M, me and my gay veshy head out to a restobar. The rest was history, we drank, dance and sang our hearts out totally unmindful of the time. We went home to my apartment slurry and drenching with sweat and saliva from the emptying of our stomachs.

Slumped on one of the cushioned sofa bed, drooling and catching a brown butterfly in my dreams, I woke up startled at the sudden stop of the swishing sound of the wall fan. Opening one migrained eye slowly, I was blinded by the blaring sun seeping through the curtained windows. Realization hit me like the bile who's threatening to pour out of my mouth.

Ohhh good Lord, not again! I sloppily tried to reach the dust infected wall fan and click all three numbers..... NONE. It's evidently not working.

I heard disgruntled voices outside. My landlady's arguing with the electric bill collector again. Ohhhh sh_t! Not now please, still got to finish a heap of paperworks and reports from the previous days' GPTA meeting.

Can't really help as all hell broke loose. What!? Our electric meter has been disconnected again! Where have been my payments gone!? She just asked me for my last months bill and I gave her 1500php. For this month, she told me early June that we will be disconnected soon again since our bill is 7,980php and she's been wondering how it surmounted that amount.

I'm refraining myself from barging her door and wringing her bulging goitered neck. (A lie though since I don't even have the guts to kill a cockroach at the kitchen.)

How could anyone be a heartless, insensitive, self-centered, lying old fool? This is simply outrageous. And the worst is, it's making my hang-overed brain toast up. I thought that she had been paying the bills all along since I'm always updated with my payments anyway.

I was requesting from her before that she ought to give me my electric readings just for my own door so that everything is clear as the sun on how much my electric consumption is. Instead she's simply ranting on my rice cooker, ref, tv, electric fan, and my wifi modem usage as the ultimate culprit for the tantamount bills.

I ran to the comfort room heaving the last ounce of san mig lights on the bowl. Still murmuring unpleasantly, I took a split second bath since my muscles are not yet in coordination with my brain.

Rummaged something to eat from the fridge and found no other than this.

Ohohhhh, a cold noodles and egg soup. Doing the sign of the cross hastily, I voraciously slurped it down feeling blissful and somehow light headed. No time to long for any fancy food as of the moment. I was playing on my mind on how will be my possible confrontation with my landlady when I heard the clanged of gate. And there she was, fully dressed with a balloon skirt, three inches make-up on as far as my wild guess is concern, and a strong Fiona cologne that she used to bathe with, walking rapidly outside and on her way to her kumadres' house for a mahjong session.

What the F! Grrrrrrr..... Clenching my fist and teeth teetering, I grabbed my bag, laptop and Wi-Fi modem.

Got the brightest idea then.

So here I am in our English Department office. I turned on the two stand fans, plugged the internet and presto! It's #Ulog time! Might as well dealt with her later. I just realize though that perhaps tact and diplomacy will do her good rather than a violent reaction.

Hope you will have the heart to do the deed too despite the urge to smash someone's face. 😇😂😅
