Have you ever find yourself at ends? That even a single 25 cents do matter just to complete a one peso? What if you just have two 100 peso bill inside your tattered wallet, will you make it last? What will you be able to buy with it? Can you take the challenge of doing some marketing with just 200 pesos? Okay, dare!

Wednesday is my marketing day not the usual Saturday or Sunday just like others did. I prefer for it since there is a minimal hustle-bustle and crowd to deal with. My first stop was in the vegetables stand. Having known okra with a high dietary fiber content, I bought some at only five pesos! Imagine, that was already 11 pieces. In addition was the garlic, ginger and lemon for another five pesos each. The black pepper with a variety of whole seeds, grounded and leaf was worth ten pesos for the three.

Holding dearly the change for my first stop I went next to the poultry stand, where fresh eggs, salted ones and chicken meat are in full display.

Thinking of cooking my favorite spicy adobo, I bought a combination of chicken intestines, gizzard and liver for only fifty pesos. Then a dozen of chorizo balls for only 25pesos, plus two red salted eggs which is a good fifteen pesos for two but eight pesos a piece.

This is where I was refuting myself whether to buy my favorite sea weeds, shells, crabs or fish meat since I only got some few notes and coins left.

The fishes on display were quite pricey to my dismay. Tuna fish ranges from 280p to 300 pesos per kilo.

Though other fish costs for only 180 to 200 pesos per kilo.

Lola tindera gamely posed for a picture when I told her I will feature her for today's Ulog blog, though I'm not sure if she even have an idea what blog is. 😂

In return of the favor, I bought from her three slices of yellow fin fish, surely a yummy paksiw will do for it.

Home at last! So excited to pour the contents inside my basket.

And excited as well to know if it was what my 200 pesos had become. So here it is.

Okra----- 5
Chorizo--25
Fish---- 70
Lemon---5
Garlic----5
Ginger---5
Oil--------10
Chicken gizzard, liver and intestines ---50
Pepper -----10
Red salted eggs----- 15

A total amount of 200 PESOS!!!!

I survived in the market with only 200 pesos in hand. And went home with food good for three days already. That was how my day in the market goes this morning. Can you do it? Will you be able to do the same budgeting with only two 100 Peso bills? Hope you will do better.

Rubbing my hands together, I'm now drooling over my paksiw. Two cups of rice will be consume for this lunch.
