ULog #24: Spring Cleaning

in ulog •  6 years ago  (edited)

I am always amazed at how fast time flies in my adult years. There never seems to be a moment where I have enough time to do things. Since my last ULog a month ago, life flew by without me feeling that I had done much for the past four weeks.

In Life

It is almost spring time! This means spring cleaning. With spring break right around the corner, I plan to get things cleaned before going on holiday. That leaves me about a week or so.

I cannot stand a dirty house, so I like to do an occasional purge of items. Sometimes, I discover unfortunate incidents, like moldy items in the pantry.

Somehow, one of my water containers started a small leak. I estimate the time of occurrence somewhere between January and beginning of March. The water had gotten into a bag of flour, which caused mold to start infesting.

Even after I cleaned off the space, I could still see the mark left by the fungal growth. I will most likely redo part of that shelf to prevent further spread. Knowing me, I may not get around to it until after spring break.

In Steem

Oh gosh, where have I been in Steem all this time? I am averaging almost less than two posts a week now. You would think there should be more activity as the price climbed up. Well, being busy in life has not given me the desire to put forth more free time on the blockchain.

I spent most of my Steem time flagging abuse with @steemflagrewards. Usually, I wind up reviewing flags with @steemseph, amongst other administrative itineraries. The good news is, the initiative is moving forward, and there is plenty of room to improve.

I have also started to sell my votes on @smartsteem. Some of you may feel somewhat disappointed, but there is a reason for it. I have noticed times when my voting power is at 100% because I have been absent. Instead of devoting myself to the SFR flag trail, I have chosen to only sell my votes when I am above 99% VP.

It is an experiment to see if I could fish out certain abusive bidding and another way to discover content. This will also change when SFR revamp their comment system to something less bloaty. You will have to check out what @anthonyadavisii has to say about that subject.
