Hello Steemians, today we celebrate the Pentecost Sunday which ends the Easter Season.
The Entrance of my Church
I’m grateful to God for today’s homily and for the great outpour of the Holy Spirit on us. I want to share with us some of the things I learnt today as I listened while the ministration went on.
The birth of the Holy Spirit gives life to us. Through this, we can now call Him "Abba Father".
Just as Jesus breathed on the Apostles saying "Receive the Holy Spirit", in the same way, He does to us today.
The Prophecy of Joel 2:28 is hence fulfilled. We receive power when the holy spirit comes upon us. We overcome the darkness of this world by this same power.
We celebrate Pentecost in the spirit of gratitude as a day when God poured His Holy Spirit upon the Apostles. Pentecost from the Greek word "Pentikosti" was celebrated by the Jews 50 days after Passover, it existed from time past.

Now we have received the Holy Spirit, we keep it in constant renewal. It must be evident in our hearts, mind and actions that we have received this greatest gift.
In God is life and His life is the light of men. He brings us forth from nothingness to existence. Hence, we as light must radiate this eternal goodness.
We therefore live in love, encouraging others, helping the needy and fearlessness standing for the truth.
Jesus went about doing good because of this great substance He possessed within – the Spirit of God.
Joseph was a successful man because the Spirit of God was with him.
Daniel was ten times better than his colleagues and preferred above everyone even those in authority and the knowledgeable because the Spirit of God was with him.
Inside the Church
In conclusion, I was able to discover that “Our perfection is hinged on the presence of God's Spirit in us”.
It is this Spirit that makes us whole, confident in times of war and battle, consoles us in the moments of difficulties, the peace in the midst of the storm and the strength in our weakness.
Let's therefore act according to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
With this, we effectively and efficiently become AGENTS OF CHANGE and instruments of grace, power and love.
