#ULOG 5 : Regional Convention 2018

I’ve been MIA the past couple of days before yesterday because we had our yearly regional convention at the Metro Manila Assembly Hall in Quezon City. For 3 consecutive days we woke up at around 4:30 am to prepare lunch, a few snacks for sharing, & ourselves of course ☺️ We joined some of our brothers and sisters in faith riding a rented van to the venue. We would always meet at 6am sharp and then arrive after half an hour to an hour max of traveling. We were always early and had the opportunity to choose where we would like to sit. The travel home was the tiring part because the traffic was worse so our trip took as long as 2 to 3 hours. Days before the assembly we planned what we were going to wear so we’d be presentable and comfortable during the series of talks full of encouragement and wisdom. This year’s theme was Be Courageous or Magpakalakas-Loob in Tagalog since we belonged to a Tagalog Congregation, Sucat East. Sometimes it was hard to concentrate because of the hot weather but thankfully we had fans and cold water to keep us cool, also sometimes waking up early takes its toll when we get sleepy during the program but I had coffee to fight through it to listen and watch the videos filled with lessons and experiences by other Jehovah’s Witnesses all around the globe. It was tiring but it was all worth it because of the things I learned. I definitely gained courage knowing that Jehovah will always be here for us and that we can strengthen our relationship with Him by talking to Him through prayers which are unlimited. I personally enjoyed the 2nd day the most especially the symposium about learning to be courageous from the creations of Jehovah particularly the animals (Lion, Horse, Mongoose, Hummingbird, Elephant). Symposiums about being courageous in different standpoints and in different continents were also my favorites. I am also sure that the ending video and song of the last day pulled the heartstrings of many attendees. I am grateful to have attended alongside my mom. Here are a few pictures:
