Ulog #001/Flashbackfriday. Reminiscing on my homemade photoshoot on Independence day (1st October).

On the 1st of October at about 09:45am after i got done with my chores at home, i took my bath and did a crazy Nigeria flag colours make up. I applied a green white green eye shadow and lip stick. I begged my baby sister, frankie to take a few shots of me. The photos are taken with my smart phone, techno camon c5.

I just decided to do something out of love for my country, Nigeria. My mum and siblings laughed at me and said i look like "Ojuju calabar" (masquerade), i actually thought so too but i wanted to post on facebook so much to tell everyone i'm still proud of my country despite the crisis, economic meltdown and insecurity going on in the country right now.

Nigeria was under the British colony. The name Nigeria was given to her by flora shaw in the late 19th century. Nigeria became a British protectorate in 1901. The Lagos colony was later added in 1906 and the southern and northern Nigeria protectorate were merged together to form a single colony by Governor Fredrick lugard in January 1914.

Colonization lasted until 1960, when an independence movement succeeded in gaining Nigeria its independence and bacame a republic in 1963. Nigeria is made up of 36 states plus the Federal capital, Abuja. Nigeria has so many ethnic groups and different languages.

Yes the country might be a mess right now but inatead of criticizing others and blaming the country's situation on the very Leader we voted by ourselves. Recall in 2014, Ex president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said, "i am the most insulted President in the whole world but when my tenor ends, you will all remember me" and funny enough its true. its high time we act logical, get our PVC's and vote for who we really want to lead us and not let politicians and aspirants blind us with their money.

I love Nigeria and i'm proud to be a Nigerian.
